About British Institute of Lasers
Professional laser equipment, chosen around the realities of your clinic.
Since 2009, we have helped clinics invest in professional laser technology with a clearer understanding of performance, ownership costs, training and long-term support. The aim is simple: capable equipment that makes sense in a working treatment room and remains properly supported after delivery.
Why we exist
The right machine should work clinically and commercially.
“A clinic should not have to choose between capable equipment, fair ownership costs and genuine aftercare.”
That belief shapes the systems we supply and the support surrounding them. We look beyond headline specifications to the details that affect a clinic every week, including treatment flexibility, operator comfort, cooling, maintenance, training and the cost of keeping appointments moving.
Different clinics need different systems. Our role is to explain the options clearly, consider the treatment plan and working environment and help the buyer make a well-informed investment without unnecessary pressure.
See what makes our approach different →Our story
Experience carried forward into every new system.
Laser technology has changed considerably. Our approach remains grounded in the same practical standards: understand the treatment environment, choose components carefully, test before dispatch and remain accountable after delivery.
The 1990s
Early foundations in laser technology
Our early experience developed alongside major advances in laser engineering, treatment applications and professional safety standards.
2009
British Institute of Lasers is established
The company is established to make professional laser systems more accessible without separating the equipment from training and technical support.
Continuous development
Systems evolve with clinic needs
Cooling, controls, handpiece design, wavelength flexibility and software are refined around the practical experience of operators and clients.
Today and beyond
A long-term partner for ambitious clinics
We now support new practitioners, established salons and growing clinic groups with equipment, training and ongoing UK-based assistance.
How we work
Four principles behind every machine recommendation.
Buying professional laser equipment involves technical, operational and commercial decisions. These principles help us keep the recommendation clear and relevant to the clinic.
Practical performance
We prioritise features that influence treatment quality, comfort, speed and consistency rather than adding controls or specifications with little practical value.
Clear guidance
We explain the differences between systems, likely use cases and ownership considerations in language clinic owners can use to make a decision.
Long-term accountability
Training and UK-based support are treated as part of responsible machine ownership, not optional extras added after the purchase.
Commercial realism
Purchase price matters, but so do finance, pulse life, consumables, servicing, downtime and the realistic income the machine may need to support.
From specification to clinic
Developed around how practitioners actually use the machine.
A professional system is more than a collection of impressive specifications. We consider how it will be operated, maintained and supported across a normal working week.
Useful technology is the kind an operator still appreciates during the tenth appointment of the day.
Listen to clinic needs
Treatment mix, room size, client profile, operator workflow and growth plans help define what the machine genuinely needs to provide.
Specify practical technology
Wavelengths, cooling, interfaces, handpieces and core components are considered together because each affects the wider treatment workflow.
Check before dispatch
Each machine is quality checked, water tested and safety checked before being dispatched to the clinic.
Train the operator
Training covers operating principles, skin assessment, safe use, cleaning and routine maintenance for the chosen system.
Remain available
Technical guidance, eligible software updates, repairs and responsive assistance remain available throughout ownership.
Beyond the equipment
What long-term support looks like in practice.
Buying a machine begins a working relationship. The surrounding support is intended to reduce uncertainty at launch and help the clinic respond more confidently if questions or faults arise later.
Training and certification
Professional instruction is included, with online and face-to-face options available according to the programme, location and clinic requirements.
Lifetime UK-based support
Our UK team remains available for operational questions and technical guidance for as long as you own the system.
Software updates
Eligible software updates are included for ten years, helping compatible system functions remain current as the platform develops.
72-hour replacement commitment
If an issue cannot be repaired on site, a replacement machine is dispatched within 72 working hours under the published commitment.
Practical documentation
Operational guidance, maintenance information and supporting resources help clinics establish clearer day-to-day procedures.
Repairs and servicing
Dedicated repairs and servicing support helps clinics maintain equipment and respond more quickly when performance needs attention.
Who we support
Different stages of growth, with the same need for clear advice.
A first machine raises different questions from a fourth. We adapt the discussion around the clinic's experience, treatment plans, available space and expected demand.

Questions clinics commonly ask before buying.
These answers cover the practical points that often arise before a demonstration, recommendation or machine purchase.
View All FAQsWhere is British Institute of Lasers based?
We are based at Ensign Business Centre on Westwood Business Park in Coventry. Clinics can arrange an in-person demonstration at our premises or speak with the team remotely before deciding.
Who do you work with?
We work with new clinic founders, experienced practitioners, beauty salons adding laser services, established aesthetic clinics and multi-location businesses planning an upgrade or expansion.
What is included when I purchase a machine?
The support package includes professional training and certification, lifetime UK-based guidance and ten years of eligible software updates. Delivery, warranty and finance arrangements can be confirmed for the chosen machine.
Can I see a machine before buying?
Yes. A demonstration lets you inspect the interface, handpiece, cooling and treatment workflow before committing. Online and in-person options can be discussed through the request details form.
Do I need previous laser experience before buying a machine?
Not necessarily. We work with both new and experienced practitioners. Training is included with the machine, although you should also confirm the qualification, insurance and local council requirements that apply to the treatments you intend to offer.
Can training take place at my clinic?
Training can be delivered online or face to face at our Coventry premises. On-site training may also be available depending on your location, the machine purchased and the agreed training arrangement.
Are all British Institute of Lasers machines FDA approved?
No. FDA approval applies to specific systems rather than the complete range. The Nu eRays Plus is the FDA-approved laser hair removal option currently available from British Institute of Lasers. Our team can explain the certification and documentation supplied with each machine.
Is finance available for your machines?
Finance options are available, subject to status and lender approval. The term and monthly payment depend on the machine and finance arrangement, so the team will provide a clear illustration rather than assuming one payment structure suits every clinic.
What happens if my machine develops a fault?
Contact our UK support team so the issue can be assessed. Where a covered fault cannot be repaired on site, a replacement machine is dispatched within 72 working hours under the published machine swap commitment, helping the clinic reduce avoidable downtime.
Do you also provide repairs and servicing?
Yes. British Institute of Lasers provides a dedicated repairs and servicing route. The servicing form can be used to describe the machine, its condition and the issue requiring attention.
