Laser Engineer
Location: Various locations across the UK
Day Rate: £250 to £450 per day
British Institute of Lasers supplies dependable laser and IPL machines to clinics across the UK and abroad. The team brings more than twenty years of scientific experience, supported by qualified engineers and steady customer service staff who keep each client feeling well looked after.
About the Role
We are looking for a Laser Engineer to join us on a contract basis. The work involves repairing and servicing laser hair removal machines, IPL machines, and tattoo removal machines. You will travel to clinics across the UK and handle hands on repairs that help each system perform as it should. The role suits someone who enjoys technical problem solving and days that feel varied rather than routine.
Main Responsibilities
- Troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing laser hair removal, IPL, and tattoo removal machines
- Carrying out on site repairs and servicing for clinics across the UK
- Maintaining strong working knowledge of laser technologies including alexandrite, Nd:YAG, and diode systems
- Keeping up to date with new techniques, equipment, and good practice within the industry
- Providing calm, friendly, and professional service to support a positive client experience
- Working with the wider British Institute of Lasers team to help maintain consistent client satisfaction
What We Are Looking For
- Experience in laser engineering or a related technical field
- Sound understanding of laser theory and hands on work with alexandrite, Nd:YAG, and diode systems
- Familiarity with well known manufacturers such as Candela and Lumenis would be helpful
- Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills
- A steady and professional approach with genuine care for customer service
