About British Institute of Lasers
British Institute of Lasers was established in 2009. We manufacture professional laser machines in the UK, bring together scientific and practical expertise, and support clinics from their first questions through to everyday use of the equipment.
Our background
British Institute of Lasers grew from hands-on experience with laser technology and a clear understanding that professional equipment has to make sense outside a laboratory. It has to suit the treatment room, the practitioner and the commercial pressures of running a clinic.
Dr Majid Zarandouz is part of that background. His PhD in organic chemistry from the University of Warwick, together with his earlier experience of laser technology, contributed to the scientific foundation behind the company. That knowledge now sits within a wider team with technical, training and clinic-facing experience.
The questions we keep coming back to are practical ones:
Made here in the UK
Our laser machines are manufactured by our own team in the UK. We do not import parts from China. Keeping this work close to the business gives our technical and support teams direct knowledge of the equipment rather than separating the people who supply it from the people who understand it.
The team supporting a clinic works close to the people involved in the equipment itself.
Manufacturing remains within the US rather than being treated as a distant, anonymous supply process.
Questions can be taken to people with relevant technical, training or customer support experience.
Combined expertise
Professional laser equipment brings together science, engineering, safety, practitioner training and the realities of running a clinic. Our team covers those areas without pretending that every question has a single, simple answer.
Understanding the equipment, its controls and its intended use.
Helping practitioners understand safe operation, consultation and routine care.
Answering practical questions before purchase and throughout ownership.
Bringing together equipment knowledge with an understanding of how clinics operate and grow.
