General Assistant Role
Careers at British Institute of Lasers
General Assistant
A varied role supporting customer service, data organization, digital marketing and website updates from our Coventry base. It suits someone who enjoys practical work, clear communication and days that rarely look exactly the same.
The position
About the role
British Institute of Lasers supplies laser and IPL systems to clinics across the US and overseas. Our team brings together engineers, support staff and people with more than twenty years of scientific experience. Clients rely on us for clear advice, dependable equipment and patient support throughout their time with us.
We are looking for a General Assistant who enjoys taking responsibility for a broad mix of work. You may begin the day responding to customer inquiries, move on to organizing information in Excel, prepare an email campaign and then make a small website update before finishing.
The role requires concentration and sound judgment. Tasks will often change, but the standard of work should remain steady. You will help keep information accurate, communication organized and digital content consistent with the British Institute of Lasers brand.

A varied working day
Different tasks, one reliable standard
This role moves between customer communication, data, marketing and website work. You will need to switch focus comfortably without letting small details slip. An inquiry should receive the same care as a spreadsheet update or a piece of website copy.
You will have support from the wider team, but there will also be tasks you are expected to progress independently. Asking sensible questions is encouraged. So is taking the time to check your work before it goes live or reaches a client.
Equal opportunities
British Institute of Lasers welcomes applications from people of all backgrounds, regardless of race, gender, disability, religion or age.
